My name is Amy Pilat, my husband Andrew and I are proud parents of 2 amazing girls.
I'm originally from Edmonton, Andrew from the Lakeland area where we now we call our home.
I have worked as a wine consultant for various agencies in Alberta for many years. During that time I was lucky enough to travel to different wine areas around the world to witness first hand the art of winemaking and increase my knowledge. I have also completed the Wine and Spirit Education Trust level 1 and 2 courses through the Vancouver Art Institute. Andrew is employed in the oilfield and is our Craft beer guru he also has extensive knowledge of wine and spirits.
Our interest, knowledge, and love for the art of wine have inspired us to start this venture of “in home and private wine tastings” we have come to call “Wine Knows.”
Our hope to infuse each person in a small or large way with the passion we have for wine and craft beer by introducing them to new and unique wines and varietals. Offering the option of food pairing suggestions is valuable because it is our belief that wines and craft beers should be enjoyed with everyday foods as well as special occasion dishes.
We truly appreciate that wine and craft beer need to have a laid-back approach and
that each person has their own set of taste buds making it our job is to find a product
they can honestly enjoy.

My name is Eloise, my husband Tyson and I have called Cold Lake, Alberta home for many years now with our 2 kids Evan and Maisy. I joined the Wine Knows team at the beginning of 2020! I have learned so much in that time and currently have my WSET Level 1, and Wine & Food Pairing courses under my belt. When I’m not talking wine, you can find me at our local spin, and yoga studios, camping, and spending lots of time at the beach with friends and family.
